Of course I have it already and of course I’m shitting myself with happiness and I’m only on “Rococo”, the third song. Perhaps Arcade Fire should teach a class to young musicians on how TO WRITE AN EFFING ALBUM.
Like I said, I’m only on the fourth song and its rock solid harmonies, orchestration, slightly esoteric lyrics wading in metaphors and can be overwhelming at times…but somehow still satisfies the soul. Amazing.
Good ass job, again.

I’m still trying to figure out how great this album is. I don’t feel the same lyrical power than in Neon Bible and Funeral. Should be among the best albums of the year at least.
I’ve always believed Arcade Fire’s musical prowess resided in simplicity: powerful melodies that elevate the simple lyrical base. It’s just that so much merde is being released lately and I find my favorite bands dropping off the radar or breaking up…it’s nice to know Arcade Fire is still going strong.
